Section individual final: Quartz Hill senior Erdman, who has accepted a partial golf scholarship from UC Riverside, finished 11-over-par 84 in Friday’s Southern Section final at Diamond Bar Golf Club in Diamond Bar, coming within a stroke of conditional qualifying for individual play in next week’s regional final. Dilger, a sophomore, shot 93 in the 89-player competition, from which the top 28 golfers qualified for regional play. The next 15 spots – four players at 81, seven at 82 and four at 83 – were conditional qualifiers for regional berths that might be vacated by qualifiers who also reach regional play as members of qualifying teams. Golden League final: Erdman shot 81 at Crystalaire Country Club and 82 at Rancho Vista Golf Course in Palmdale, finishing 163 to win her first league title. Dilger shot 90-81_171 for the second and final berth in the individual section final at Diamond Bar Golf Club.
