first_imgAuthorities in Guthrie County have identified the four victims in a plane crash involving an aircraft that had taken off from Le Mars Friday afternoon.The Guthrie County Sheriff says the pilot, 49-year-old Edward Anderson of Le Mars, and his three passengers, 36-year-old Patrick Kellen, also of Le Mars, 28-year-old Tyler Douvia of Merrill, and 15-year-old Samantha Clark of Le Mars were found dead in the wreckage of the plane.The single engine plane was found in a cow pasture around 6:30 Saturday morning.Authorities say the plane was headed to southwest Iowa on a hunting trip when the pilot suffered a heart attack.Des Moines Air Traffic Control was informed that Clark, a student pilot, would attempt an emergency landing, but the plane never made it to an airstrip.The crash site has been secured pending an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.Updated 11:27pm 11/10/18————-Authorities say four people have been confirmed dead in the crash of a plane that left the Le Mars Airport Friday evening and was reported as missing.The Guthrie County sheriff says the plane was found in a rural pasture southwest of Guthrie Center around 6:30 Saturday morning.Multiple agencies assisted in the search and no other information on the pilot and passengers has been released.last_img read more
