first_imgNamely, Valamar will realize an investment in the Pinea Hotel in the Poreč zone in the total value of HRK 790 million, the completion of which is planned for the 2021 season. Pinea Hotel will be a luxury year-round five-star hotel with 514 accommodation units, which will include the largest hotel event center in Istria with a congress capacity of 1.200 guests.  “With this investment, Valamar continues its strategy of raising the quality of its portfolio and services towards high value-added tourism. The new Pical zone represents the transformation of Poreč tourism to a higher quality that will ensure year-round tourism and significantly increase the tourist value of the destination. By investing in the Pical zone, beaches, promenades and a recreation zone will be arranged, and an indoor swimming pool for citizens and guests of the city will be built in accordance with Valamar’s mission to develop tourism in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.” said Željko Kukurin, President of the Management Board of Valamar, during the presentation of the investment.  The project represents the transformation of Poreč tourism to a higher quality, which will create 500 year-round jobs, bring better paying guests, increase consumption, extend the tourist season and improve the quality of beaches and promenades in the Pical zone for citizens and guests of Porec.   “Investing in the new Pical zone will create about 500 new jobs and enable year-round tourism as the backbone of the future development of Poreč. This large investment will also encourage stronger development of the local economy. For the first time, Poreč will get a large indoor sports pool that will be open all year round, which is a special value for athletes and recreationists.” said the mayor of Porec, Loris Persuric.    The comprehensive landscaping of the new Pical zone, along with 20.000 m2 of beaches and promenades along the sea, will bring a 4-kilometer-long recreational trail, an indoor sports pool with 5 swimming trails that will work all year round and an outdoor tidal 50-meter sea pool that will surely encourage further development of water sports and general development of sports in Poreč.  The start of works in the Pical zone is planned for October this year, and a large number of local companies and craftsmen will be engaged on the construction site in the next year and a half. center_img Yesterday, Valamar Riviera presented the largest project in Croatian tourism at the Istrian Parliament in Poreč, the construction of which will begin in the coming days.  In addition to the investments already made in the previous period, Valamar plans to invest a total of around HRK 1,5 billion in the Pical zone, which will create one of the most attractive tourist zones in Croatia, which includes the Valamar Collection Marea Suites 5 *, Valamar Parentino Hotel. 4 * (ex Zagreb) which will be expanded and further enriched with facilities for the 2020 season and the existing accommodation capacities of the Valamar Pinia Hotel. The gourmet offer will be expanded with a variety of restaurants and bars. In the new Pical zone, Valamar, in cooperation with the City, will arrange beaches, promenades, sports and recreational facilities for citizens and guests of the City of Poreč.
