GPL: Teenager Latif Blessing on seven goals to lead goal king race

first_imgLatif Blessing has emerged as the early sole leader of the Ghana Premier League goal king standings after another prolific day at the office in Dansoman. The former Blessing FC striker netted twice in the first half at the Carl Reindorf Park to haul the home side 2-1 in front after Berekum Chelsea had taken an early lead. The game ended 3-1.It was the 18 year old’s second brace of the season and took his tally to seven goals from eight matches. It also makes him the front runner for the goal king title with his closest challengers Samuel Tetteh, Saddick Adams and Eric Bekoe all failing to hit target.Bekoe did not score in Hasaacas 0-4 loss at Aduana, Adams was missing for Chelsea due to suspension while Tetteh endured a miserable day in Accra where he was sent off against WAFA after picking up two yellow cards against Hearts of Oak.The biggest winner of the failure by the trio to score could be Aduana Stars forward Yahaya Mohammed who scored a hat trick in their 4-0 win over Hasaacas to take his season’s tally to four. —READ ALSO: GPL matchday 8 reports from across Ghana*Follow Joy Sports on Twitter: @JoySportsGH. Swiss Media: Damn, which one of these two teams qualified for the Finals of Euro 2016?

first_imgSwiss media gave a lot of attention to last night’s victory of our national football team over their selection on the Letzigrund stadium in Zurich. Disappointment for another defeat of Vladimir Petkovic dominated in the comments, but the media did not save compliments for our Dragons.Blick: Edin Dzeko gave a lesson to Swiss starsFrom the very beginning of the match at the Letzigrund stadium, fans of BiH took over the initiative on the stands and their favorites on the field. Apathetic Swiss acted paralyzed while technically inclined Bosnians dominated the field. After only few minutes, the question was: Damn, which one of these two teams qualified for the finals of the European Championship?Yes, Switzerland is going on the Euro, and BiH is not! Switzerland, who lost 3 of the last 4 test matches, and whose strategy is mainly reduced to looking for indisposed Seferovic with high balls. And another thing: Edin Dzeko was the biggest star on the field. The player with knowledge and experience. The player who did not pose but who “plowed” the field. His efforts gave the lesson to Swiss stars and showed them what a real professional looks like.Bluewin.ch: More than deserved victory of BiHAnyone who expected a reaction of Vladimir Petkovic after the defeat in the previous match in Ireland (0: 1) from B-selection of the host, got disappointed. It is clear that in a duel with the offensive strong team such as BiH, the task was more than difficult.Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic, stars of Roma, scored goals for more than deserved victory of guests who were actually “hosts”, since the majority of the 17,000 spectators of the match were fans of the Balkan team.(Source: Radiosarajevo.ba)last_img read more
