first_imgPatrick McBrearty: In fine form in DunfanaghyKILCAR, St Eunan’s, Glenswilly, Four Masters and Ardara all recorded victories in the big weekend clashes with Malin holding Naomh Conaill and Gaoth Dobhair and Killybegs also sharing the spoils in their clash. At Magheragallon Gaoth Dobhair came from behind thanks to the place kicking of James Carroll who hit to late points to tie the game with Killybegs – 0-08 each in the end.The home side were playing without Kevin Cassidy, who was in New York for the weekend, and ended up minus county star Eamonn McGee, sent off for a second yellow card offence. Kilcar sealed their place in the quarter-final with a two-point win in Dunfanaghy over St Michael’s, 1-16 to 1-14 the final score.Patrick McBrearty was in fine form the visitors, having his side eight points ahead at one stage. Fellow county player Colm McFadden had the chance to score a goal late on to tie the game but saw his shot fly over the bar for a point.St Michael’s now need to beat Glenswilly and rely on Kilcar to beat Bundoran in order to seal their place in the last eight.Holders St Eunan’s were in top form as they travelled to Cloughaneely – and the game as over as a contest by half-time with the Letterkenny side leading by that stage by 1-10 to 0-02. Indeed it was a penalty ten minutes from the end slotted home by Gareth Concarr which settled matters, after Martin Shovlin was rugby-tackled to the ground. The final score was Ardara 2-11, Glenfin 0-13.Comeback of the day was by Malin, who erased a seven point deficit to draw with Naomh Conaill.Gerard McLaughlin was the hero at Connolly Park, hitting a massive point from a distance – and a goal – to tie the game 1-08 to 0-11.County star Neil Gallagher was forced off at half-time with a knee injury as Glenswilly strolled to victory against Bundoran, winning 3-13 to 0-09. Gallagher had scored a goal in the first half, with Donegal captain Michael Murphy and Cathal Gallagher also finding the net.Four Masters also staged a comeback, pipping MacCumhaills by a point in the end – 0-09 to 0-08 – and they must now go on and beat Glenfin to progress.Elsewhere an injury time point from Daire McDaid earned Termon a 2-09 to 1-12 draw with Dungloe at Burn Road on Saturday evening.09/06/2013Cloughaneely 1-7 vs 2-17 St Eunans MoreCloughaneely 1-7 vs 2-17 St Eunans MoreMalin 1-8 vs 0-11 Naomh Conaill MoreMalin 1-8 vs 0-11 Naomh Conaill More02/06/2013Naomh Conaill 0-15 vs 0-7 Cloughaneely MoreNaomh Conaill 0-15 vs 0-7 Cloughaneely More01/06/2013St Eunans 2-10 vs 1-8 Malin MoreSt Eunans 2-10 vs 1-8 Malin MoreRadio na Gaeltachta SFC group 209/06/2013Four Masters 0-9 vs 0-8 Sean MacCumhaills MoreGleann Fhinne 0-13 vs 2-11 Ardara More02/06/2013Ardara 1-11 vs 1-7 Four Masters More01/06/2013Sean MacCumhaills 2-12 vs 1-5 Gleann Fhinne MoreRadio na Gaeltachta SFC Group 309/06/2013Gaoth Dobhair 0-8 vs 0-8 Killybegs More08/06/2013Termon 2-9 vs 1-12 An Clochán Liath MoreRadio na Gaeltachta SFC Group 409/06/2013St Michaels 1-14 vs 1-16 Kilcar More08/06/2013Glenswilly 3-13 vs 0-9 Realt na Mara G.F.C More02/06/2013Kilcar 0-14 vs 2-7 Glenswilly More01/06/2013Realt na Mara G.F.C 1-7 vs 0-10 St Michaels MoreSenior Res Championship Group 109/06/2013Cloughaneely 0-9 vs 3-8 St Eunans MoreMalin 1-6 vs 5-14 Naomh Conaill More02/06/2013Naomh Conaill 5-10 vs 0-10 Cloughaneely More01/06/2013St Eunans 2-15 vs 0-5 Malin MoreSenior Res Championship Group 209/06/2013Four Masters 1-15 vs 1-7 Sean MacCumhaills More08/06/2013Gleann Fhinne 1-5 vs 1-16 Ardara More02/06/2013Ardara 2-5 vs 0-9 Four Masters More01/06/2013Sean MacCumhaills 1-8 vs 0-8 Gleann Fhinne MoreSenior Res Championship Group 309/06/2013Gaoth Dobhair 3-7 vs 2-13 Killybegs More08/06/2013Termon 0-6 vs 0-10 An Clochán Liath MoreSenior Res Championship Group 409/06/2013St Michaels 0-7 vs 0-5 Kilcar More08/06/2013Glenswilly 2-10 vs 0-6 Realt na Mara G.F.C MoreGAA ROUND-UP: VICTORIES FOR KILCAR, ST EUNAN’S, GLENSWILLY, FOUR MASTERS AND ARDARA was last modified: June 10th, 2013 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:FOUR MASTERS AND ARDARAGAA ROUND-UP: VICTORIES FOR KILCARglenswillySt Eunanslast_img read more
